SDMCET Organized Intel sponsored 1-Day FDP on Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning and Deep learning.
Department of Information Science and Engineering of SDMCET has organized aone day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Artificial intelligence, Machine learning and Deep learning” sponsored by INTEL Corporation on May 18, 2018. Faculty from various IT branches of different collages participated to know what Intel is doing in fields of machine learning, deep learning and artificial intelligence.
The Chief guest Dr. Rajaraman Subramanian (Managing Director, Calligo Technologies, Bangalore) and resource person Mr. Pranav Nair delivered the talk on Google working on artificial intelligence (AI) by processing photos to fetch more information. He also mentioned why Google wants to detect when the photos were taken? Where it was taken? and discussed later on. Intel Nervana AI Academy enhances user development experience.
Principal Dr. Vanakudre addressed the gathering about the upcoming technologies with AI that may lead to havoc in Humans. As AI and automation are reducing job opportunities in IT Industries, on other hand AI, Machine learning, data science and Internet of Things are also creating job opportunities.
Participates will get benefited by information on access to latest Intel Free software, tools, optimized frameworks and training from Intel Software. Faculty will get an opportunity to become an Ambassador – invited to be a part of an exciting new program for Institute faculty to engage with Intel.

Joshi, Prof. Arati Nayak, Prof. Leena Sakri, Dr. Pushpalatha S Nikkam, Prof. Varsha Jadhav, Prof. Deepa Bendigeri, Prof. Anita Dixit, Dr. Vandana S Bhat and other faculty members of ISE, CSE, E&C, EEE and ME participated the programme. Faculty from neighbouring engineering colleges attended the FDP. Dr. Jagadeesh D. Pujari(HOD-ISE) concluded the programme with vote of thanks.
