The life in hostels enables students to spend ample time in the institutes, utilize library and other facilities to ensure they develop academically and acquire the necessary skills that can be obtained only through experience.

Hostel life

We at SDMCET acknowledge the need for creating a microcosm in the campus to adequately represent the diversity that characterizes India. We provide an interactive, holistic, healthy and academic-oriented environment for students in our hostels, which are gender segregated and independent.

There are five hostels on campus, three for boys and two for girls. Shalmala was the first hostel to be built, Netravati followed and Narmada is the latest boy’s hostel. Sharavati and Hemawati are the hostels for girls among which the latter is the last to be built.
